WHO WE ARE
A MULTINATIONAL TEAM OF 8 PASSIONATE STUDENTS
SPACE4WATER was originated at the Airbus Airnovation Summer Academy 2018, a week-long innovation program that took place at Cranfield University, UK

MISSION
In the present world, countries like India, despite being technologically advanced, are facing huge challenges when it comes to water and food security for common citizens, especially the farmers.
SPACE4WATER proposes to address the UN Sustainable Development Goals in developing countries around the world, by innovating the new ways of accessibility of water to the farmers and their families. This can also ensure the better production of crops, and better livelihood.

OUR IDEA
TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION
We proposed to bring the existing technologies like Airbus FARMSTAR 2.0, OneWeb, and Indian Space Research Organisation's BHUVAN-BHUJAL together and innovate a solution to bring the benefits of these technologies directly to the farmers and families in need, via our SPACE4WATER mobile application.
BUSINESS INNOVATION
Our business model comprises of facilitating partnerships between Airbus Defense and Space and the local entities in India. Since, India is a place that values its culture in high regards, it is a key to understand the practices and moral values of people. India is a place where our idea could make an impact at a huge level, and make difference in the lives of people.
The SPACE4WATER app relays the information such as crop production rate, health, irrigation requirement, expected yield and so on. Another end of the application enables the National Water Mission office of the Government of India to know where the groundwater sources are located.
The service would be free of cost for the farmers for the first year, and depending on the result it could be subscribed on subsidized rate from second year.

BUILDING BRAND VALUE
Multiple number of partnerships of Airbus with Universities, Research Institutes, Water and Land Management Institute (WALMIs) around India to collaborate on innovation, skill development, and building customer relations.
The Airbus Global University Partner Programme (AGUPP) has huge potentials in India with respect to the IITs, and Agricultural institutes.
